| Abstract: | This research is titled : (A Proposal to Improve Performance in Sudanese Colleges of education in the light of Dulfy Model) which is composed of three stages , all of which aim at improving professional in Sudanese Colleges of Education in accordance with Dulfy Model) First Stage : To highlight the requirements needed to improve performance . Second Stage : To assess the importance of these requirements in improving performance . Third Stage : To identify the relative weights of the requirements needed to improve performance . Based on these Stages a Proposal is Submitted to improve the performance in Sudanese Colleges of education in accordance with Dulfy Model) The researcher , adopted the descriptive method based on analytic , and secondly the inductive method. She employed the questionnaire as a tool through applying (Dulfy model) in its three stages. The questionnaire is applied in the three stages on a population consisting of three categories : represented in the members of the Educational Committee at the Ministry of Higher Ex. Am Scientific Research, educational experts at Sudanese colleges of education, and, educational leaders at some educational colleges of basic level at Khartoum State, comprising University of Khartoum, Sudan University for Science and Technology, and The International University of Africa. They have numerated hundred individuals. A percentage of 67 % is taken as a sample : (11) members of the Educational Committee at the Ministry of and Scientific Research Higher Education, as well as (22) educational experts, and (34) educational leaders. The researcher put forward a proposal for improving performance in Sudanese colleges of education, as a result of this research. The proposal is composed of five domains containing components stated in accordance with their percentage weight : some of which are : The most important components pertaining to the scholastic curriculum improvement: 1. Curricula of the college should always consider the integration with the general education curricula . 2. The objectives of curricula should be set out clearly in order to prepare qualified teachers. The most important components pertaining to improving the performance of teaching staff. 1. Raising the salaries of the teaching staff to be at top of State salaries. 2. To comply with the morals of the teaching profession. 3. The Continuous professional development of the teaching staff , to cope with the present variables of life . The most important components pertaining to the section of improving student/teacher's understanding are: 1. The feeling of belongingness to keep the reputation of the college in which student/teacher studies. 2. Training student/teacher to make use of local materials in preparing educational methods. 3. Developing student/teacher's skills in dealing with others. The most important components related to the section of improving evaluation are represented in the following: 1. The assurance to set tests in accordance with the table of specifications accordions to the scholastic curriculum. 2. Training of academic and administrative leaders on evaluation and follow-up. The most important items relating to the section of improving administrative performance, as follows: 1. Linking the objectives of colleges of Education with the aims of Education target communities. 2. Should benefit from international experiences in developing conducive educational environment. 3. Setting of clear professional standards to appoint outstanding teaching staff. |
