Abstract

The main objective of this study which is entitled and named under the title: The Utilization of Social Network in Promoting the Urban Behavior (Environmental Behavior). The study aim is to find out to what extent the supreme council utilizes the social network in achieving remarkable and considerable awareness of the importance of the environmental issues and shapes the community behavior (environmental behavior. This study is a descriptive and analytical study applied to The Supreme Council For Environment And Urban And Rural Development .The study would focus on knowing to what extent the ,mentioned council is utilizing the social networks and platforms to promote and develop ( the environmental behavior ) in Khartoum state .in addition to this the study aims to realize the strategy adapted by the council to promote and solve environmental problems ,and reflecting the media and journalism vision of the council in solving such problems if they exist ,finding and exposing any factors and elements which might blocks and hinder the council approaches to utilize the social medial networks to achieve its goals in promoting the desired environmental behavior of the citizens . This study gains its importance as natural result of the huge importance and influence of the social networks and its effectiveness on the society, beside that the importance of environmental awareness and its impact and contribution in developing the human societies. The outcome of this study and its recommendations represents a Hauge value in helping the different communities possess rich contribution the scientific research. The researcher has applied the descriptive analytical method. The problem of the study was centralized on shedding light on the importance of the environmental aspects and value in the society through the usage of the social knotworks to reinforce ,support and enhance the general awareness of the environment thought the creation of an integrated relationship between all social platforms as they are consider a very vital and important tools which can contribute in spreading the know-how and awareness of the importance of the environment to the society members , and exploring the role of the supreme council in achieving this . To collect the data for this study a questionnaire was use to gather the information and analyzing and apprehending it to achieve the study goal. the researcher has used the intended Colin sample on the Supreme Council for Environment And Urban And Rural Development. the main results reach has shown that the supreme council has no real and clear role in developing the environmental behavior through the utilization of the social networks, beside that the study showed that the absence of official and applying strategic polices to reach high level of proficiency in attaining standard environmental behavior. The study also showed clearly the weakness of the media vision in how the council can benefit from the social network to achieve its goals and the increase of the awareness of the environmental problems and issues among citizens. The study hence assumes that the utilization of the social networks would lead to the reduction of both cost and time spend in achieving informational and educational campaigns adapted by the council in regard to environmental behavior of the public. The study was concluded by presenting number of recommendations , among the most important ones is the high need for the academic and education formal institutions and sectors concerned with the environmental issues to adapt a clear path to focus on utilizing the social networks to enhance the environmental behavior in the shade of the general strategy of the country and government .also the study recommends that is very important to have specific standards to realize the methods though which the council can initiate links to contact the citizens to find out their environmental problems more precisely and not just to focus on particular environmental problem . the study also recommended to increase to consider the environmental problems and the close following by the concerned bodies. It’s very impart to activate the official web sites and pages of the council having into consideration the scientific analyses of the impact and outcome from these pages and sites in supporting the environmental awareness effectively and economically in comparison with the other informational channels. so, the study has recommended and encourages the utilization of the social networks efficiently to achieve the desired goals.
