Abstract: This research aims to identify the availability of teaching competencies among mathematics teachers in the basic education stage and their relationship to the academic achievement of students in the Republic of Yemen (Aden Province as a model) . Knowing the effectiveness of the educational process, and specifically the competent teacher, comes through observing the extent of the change in the student’s behavior and academic achievement, and from this standpoint the research problem is determined in the following main question: What is the availability of teaching competencies for mathematics teachers in the basic education stage and their relationship to the academic achievement of students in the Republic of Yemen ( Aden Province as a model)?. The researcher hypothesized that there is a correlation between the availability of teaching competencies for mathematics teachers in the basic stage in the Republic of Yemen - Aden Province and the academic achievement of basic stage students in the Republic of Yemen - Aden Province The researcher followed the descriptive analytical approach, so as to suitability for this kind of studies, The research used questionnaire as a tool to gather information, and percentages, arithmetic average and standard deviation and variance analysis unilateral and test T for data analysis, the most important findings of her study: The following competencies are available (lesson planning, implementation of the lesson, knowledge of the teacher scientific Bmajalh, classroom management, personal teacher and features, professional teacher development, human relations, and calendar) with the mathematics teachers in the basic education stage, as there is a relationship between these teaching skills for teachers of mathematics in basic education and academic achievement of the students According to the results obtained from the theoretical framework as well as the results obtained from the reality of the data analysis, The research reform following recommendations: The necessity of following up on scientific developments in the field of teacher preparation, qualification and training, as the teacher is the main pillar in preparing the future generation, and is also considered one of the most important influences on the academic achievement of students, and work to involve teachers in schools by supervising students who have graduated from colleges for a period of time until the merging of experiences occurs And renewal of activity between generations.
