| Abstract: | The aim of this research is to uncover academic compatibility and itsRelationship to some distinct personality traits among high school students in Jabal Awliya locality in Khartoum State (Al-Azhari and Al-Nasr sector) in the period from (2018-2019). The researcher used the descriptive approach, and the research community was represented by third-grade students (boys and girls) in the scientific and literary courses of the secondary stage in government schools in the southern Khartoum sector (Al-Azhari and Al-Nasr) in Jabal Awliya locality in Khartoum State, where the sample size reached (224) students of third grade By (115) students, and (109) female students, with a percentage of 50.3% for male students, and 48.97% for female students, and the sample percentage was (10%) from the research community chosen randomly and the study tools consisted in a questionnaire prepared by the researcher From the Academic Compatibility Test of the increase, the Eisenk Personal List, the Niu List of Personality, and the Taylor Scale of Anxiety, the data were analyzed by the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program and by applying a number of statistical methods . The researcher reached a set of result 1. The academic compatibility of high school students in Khartoum State is high. 2. There are no statistically significant differences in the academic compatibility of students of the secondary trip in Khartoum State due to the type of student( male/female). 3. There are no statistically significant differences in the academic compatibility of high school students in Khartoum State attributable to the student's academic course (scientific / literary). 4. There is no statistically significant relationship between the academic compatibility of high school students in Khartoum state and the characteristic of their extraversion. There is an inverse relationship of statistical significance between the academic compatibility of high school students in Khartoum State and their anxiety trait. The researcher presented a number of recommendations, the most important of which is that the Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the Ministry of Development and Social Welfare, should hold scientific workshops and confer ces with specialists in the field of education, including teachers and administrators, and use all modern media and communication means to educate students and their families of the importance of the secondary stage and the behavioral problems faced by students and their impact on Psychological and academic compatibility of them. For the Ministry of Education to provide secondary schools with an integrated social service office that includes a psychologist, a social worker, and a learning difficulties specialist, due to the importance of the secondary stage, instructing students, directing them, and providing psychological and social support to students and their families so that the continuous follow-up of students and their guidance and direction to reduce obstacles to academic compatibility. |
