Abstract

The purpose of this research was to identify the effectiveness of electronic learning in developing student's skills of listening and speaking at Islamic University Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh – Indonesia. This research follows the descriptive and experiment method by using pre-test and post-test as a research's instrument intended for student to measure their ability of Arabic language that applied either before treatment or afterward. The sample of this research consisted of (60) students from first level of Arabic language department in faculty of education Islamic University Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh – Indonesia for academic year 2016/2017. It was randomly divided into an experimental group of (30) students and control group (30) students. The data received were analyzed by statistical program SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). This research obtains many results, the most important of which are: 1. There is effect of using electronic learning in developing student's skill of listening and speaking. 2. There are significant differences among the experimental group and control group in the post test result after being given a different treatment benefit from experimental group. 3. The electronic learning had great effectiveness in improving and increasing student's skill of listening and speaking Arabic. The most important recommendation of this research is: 1. Suggest to Arabic language teachers in department of Arabic language of education faculty Islamic university Ar-Raniry to use electronic media in learning process. 2. To promote Islamic university Ar-Raniry using electronic learning based on internet. 3. Giving chances for students to learning Arabic by online Arabic internet. 4. Prepare and equip language center or laboratory language that can freely give the students and lectures to use it in learning process.
