| Abstract: | In relation to the development witnessed by information technology and its entry into all areas of life, And the adoption of the electronic examination system as an alternative to the traditional (paper) examinations at the IUA, and upon the application of the electronic examinations system, the university faced many problems that accompanied the application. Between administrations and controlling students to sit for the exam, and because the electronic examination system requires the provision of a device for each student at the same time, unlike the traditional exams, which leads to an increase in the number of students beyond the size that the examination center can accommodate, in addition to delaying the attendance of observers, and thus disrupting the examination progress in the form What is required, as this problem negatively affects the student’s performance, and therefore this study provides an electronic system as an alternative to the current system (manual), and aims to improve procedures related to the conduct of the examination process, as the researcher followed the descriptive, analytical, and applied approach and developed a general model for joint administrations for the conduct of electronic examinations, and then the system was tested and implemented in the Examinations and Certificates Administration and the College of Computer Studies using the black box technology and evaluated. Among the most prominent results is that the system helps the administration in decision-making and contributes to computerizing and archiving all the procedures and correspondences related to the exams between all parties to the academic process, as the system provided a solution to the problem of scheduling exam dates and organizing The schedules of all colleges in different majors in the same halls simultaneously, and therefore the capacity of the halls and devices was used more efficiently, as well as the time of the observer’s attendance to the examination hall, in addition to the exchange of information between the faculty registrars with the examination administration to increase the level of coordination. For future studies, researcher recommended developing a mechanism for counting the students who must take the exam at second round as well as linking the proposed system with the examination system (Moodle) after its application is approved at the university. |
