Abstract: This Research aims at analyzing the contents of the revised edition of physics textbook (2009) for the first grade secondary, which was put in practice in the academic year 2017 – 2018. To achieve this purpose, the researcher used the descriptive analytical approach as it suits nature of this research. The most important findings revealed are: 1- The educational objectives of this physics textbook includes 92.8% of the cognitive domain, 3.6% of psychomotor domain and 3.6% of the affective domain. 2- The cognitive domain includes four levels: mainly, remembering, understanding, applying, and analyzing in the following percentages respectively: (39.9%, 23.7%, 20%, 18.2%) 3- The knowledge content of this book represents 91.09%, while the skill content represents 8.91%. 4- The content of the book does not explicitly include the affective domain, but could hopefully be achieved by the teaching activities 5- The content of the book includes the following analyzing categories : facts \ concepts \ generalizations \ symbols \ images and drawing \ tables, respectively in the following percentages: (14.49%, 36.59%, 16.68%, 15.94%, 14.49%, 1.81%). Based on these results, the researcher puts forward the following rerun mandarins: a- Enriching the content with activities the affective and syco motor domains. b- Print the teacher guide as retrievers activities which enrich the affective and syco motor domains.
